friendliest neighborhoods is the Historic Downtown Business District. Downtown is the home
of eclectic businesses and wonderful eateries. We invite you to take a stroll down Briggs
Street to discover for yourself why Downtown Erie is swiftly becoming a restaurant
destination for folks who love to eat great food. Downtown also plays host to some of our
most colorful annual events such as the Erie Town Fair, the High School Homecoming Parade,
the Eerie Erie 10k Halloween race, Biscuit Day and Oktoberfest. Downtown, like much of
Erie, retains a comfortable small-town atmosphere that says “welcome”.
